Samdale was formed in 1987 and since 1991 has focused exclusively on Professional Mobile Radio (PMR) initially supporting analogue trunked radio systems such as the widely used MPT1327 and from 1998, TETRA Digital Radio Systems.

Uniquely, Samdale's consultants have extensive experience of Public Safety TETRA Systems, and Terminal Equipment from all of the major manufacturers.

Samdale has contributed to the TETRA Working Groups and assisted with the drafting of TETRA Specifications.

Samdale holds a UK TEA2 sub-licence issued by PITO and an EU Certificate of Restricted Use Understanding (CRUU).

Samdale is an active member of the TETRA MoU and the British Association of Public Safety Communications Officers (BAPCO).
